LOVE

A couple of weeks ago, the woman in my life came up with one of her periodic random questions... "Why don't u guyz (me & my friends) believe in Love?".... She further explained that her fear was inspired by some of the lyrical contents of my recordings and my pose on social networks... Well, Thank God I was Able to escape the wrath of the Aftermath... Lol...
The funny thing is, as hardcore as I might be perceived to be, I believe in Love... Apart from my Favorite Rap quote being; "The Mind is a Terrible thing to waste/ Show Love cos it's a Terrible thing to Hate" - Guru (R.I.P), I Perceive Love as being the God!!!!! (More on that Later)...
Initially I was supposed to post an article I was writting titled "THE THREE REASONS".... It's an article about the Reasons why we are here in the flesh... (That is most likely gonna be my Next post)... Love is the 2nd Reason why we are here... "TO LOVE"....

Just so I'm sure Everybody is on the same page and the term "Love" is not Misconstrued, I'd like to Lay down some definitions...

LOVE is.....
AFFECTION; "a strong feeling of deep affection for somebody/something especially a member of family or a friend" - Oxford English Dictionary....
GOD; "God is Love, whoever lives in Love lives in God and God in Him" - 1st John 4 : 16b....
The GREATEST COMMANDMENT; Mark 12 : 30-31
"The MOST IMPORTANT REASON we are on earth" - King Danas....

LOVE is NOT...
Like, Lust/infactuation, Sex etc.. One more thing; Love is not wicked *Lol...

IN LOVE!!..

Funny how Love in the context of Relationship seems like the whole idea of the term... Well, that's pardonable giving it's level of importance to both sexes.. Being in Love is som'n we all (should) crave for... It's a beautiful feeling, I can attest to that anytime, anyday... I don't wanna dwell so much on this, just so it doesn't steal the show...

Having stated all these; I'd like to chip in that HATE is not the OPPOSITE of LOVE... HATE = "NOT Loving".... There's no other neutral ground... It's either of the 2 ways (ie.. Either u Love or Hate).. And there's a thin Line between both....

Most of my philosophies in Life are backed up by the holy bible... My philosophy on this is not an exception, as the bible clearly states it's take on Love... And what better time can one possibly write about such a topic of great importance than the season known for the greatest Love, the Christmas Season...

A wise man once told me... "Life/Love/Knowledge is not determined by how much u Receive, but by how much u give"... So, With just a few hours/mins away from Christmas day, in as much as we all want to have fun and enjoy the beautiful things in Life, I feel like it's a higher calling to be a blessing to somebody, someway...
Show Luv and make the world a beautiful Place...

Well, yeah I did it... "The First Book of My Life.. This is My Genesis".... Without further Ado.. I humbly present the first piece of compilation from an eternal spring of musical collections to be provided by the Blowayzz Empire... "The Book of Danas #TBOD (the Mixtape) "... Well u kno, It's not an album so I could choose to hide under that fact and be non-challant about the quality of music in it... But NO!!!!!!!... I Decided to use the blowayzz approach ...--» "Every piece of musical presntation should be som'n of class and quality!!".... well u kno, I paid maself to hype this.. so, I'm tryina do a good job.. *lol*... Jst a lil info; got a couple of ma peeps on the tape... My Favorite Singer of all times, "Slow" was on 2 great songs tracks (alomo & don't worry).. And he also assisted on the hook of just gotta make it... Priddy and U.F.O were both on this edition of the BBMC freestyle.. While Priddy also featured on "search for Luv" along wit Fre-D... Talkin about Fre-D, he produced Track 3 "Go go go" on the Tape which he was also featured on.... My best mahn, Nat-mat did a "mini-verse" *lol* on Don't Worry...

IZZY, DARLINGTON & K-DON.... Till now with ma Present Fam Priddy them (it's Blowayzz Baby).... 

Basically I've been putting in work... Grindin..... Until about a month back I decided to drop som'n,

that's wen TBOD was birth....

TBOD is jst a piece of me... Like everyother book it is based on the writer's 

thoughts influenced by experiences and inspiration.....

I Love that Book Mahn.. Since I got it, I've Experienced a Paradigm Shift (not talkin about the mode9 album)... Really Helped guide my thoughts, hence.. Ma Actions as well as the correspondin Outcomes....
Well, since I wasn't paid to hype or do an article about the Book, I Rest ma Case... But pls try to get it and TML..
I coined the Concept of wat I'm Bloggin about from the 4th Habbit.. "Think Win-win"... As self-explanatory as it sounds, a great lot is contained init...

COMPETITIONs...
#:-s.. Funny how it has become a term that puts fear in peoples Hearts.... Hence.. Winning/loosing becomes out topic of dicussion automatically.... *smh*...
I'll start by saying.... If we're in a game to beat the competition, thinking that there can only be one winner, we've already lost the game....
Maybe, an Explanation of terms will be wise at this junction...
The word win comes from the Old English WINNAN; "to struggle, to contend, to contest." This definition implies that winning is a process, not an outcome. "Beating" has come to mean doing whatever you can, ethically or unethically, to gain an advantage over others... The word competition is derived from the Latin word COMPETERE "to seek together, to coincide, to agree." In this root meaning, there is no connotation of losing... But in Modern business usage, competition implies a WINNER and a LOSER: competition for a bid; competition for a promotion; competition to be the best Rapper; competition between brothers, Churches, companies and even countries.... THAT's WRONG!!!

In 1936, Jesse Owens helped an Olympic competitor better himself without thought of how it might affect the eventual outcome of the race....
What a difference today!... Kai!!!..  Who remebers Ben Johnson??.. Yeah.. He got caught for using steroids... But he is only a symptom of our societal overemphasis on "winning at any cost." This attitude has totally captured our collective psyche and permeates society far beyond the boundaries of sports... Over the last couple of years, we have seen not only the decline of the traditional character ethic that has made our country and culture strong, we have also seen a corresponding rise in "All-or-Nothing" competitiveness.. :(... which Way!!!????...

Winning is supposed to be like the cream rising to the top: if you let things alone, the best would appear all by itself. Now we think of winning in terms of beating others.... While the difference is subtle, it is PROFOUND. This   win-lose ethic comes out of a mentality of scarcity, the idea that there is not enough for everyone; that if someone else wins, I can't.... Hence.. Greed/self centered-ness.... :(
"Maybe there isn't enough for everybody if not, I'll get mine first." But it's supposed to be this way... --»"if everyone has an equal chance, the best will naturally prevail....
After all said and written (typed)... "I KNOW I"M GUILTY OF IT TOO... BUT NOT LIKE THEM *in my Jigga voice*".. (obviously I luv that line).....
But I've changed!!!! :D... I don't Really.. "COMPETE" (I mean compete in the wrong way).... I COPERATE!!!...
But that one no mean say I go dey take nonsense oH.. I still will.. Kill *akon voice*..... Looolz.... (Na joke oH)..
True competition/success is with self... Cos if u do ur best and u don't come first accordin to the charts or judges, u should be fulfilled... Knowing that No flesh is inFallible..
Soo....
Dear Rapper(artist, and everybody),...
Next time u make music(or do anything else),. Do it good to ur own standards and justifications.. Not as a result of comparisons... A lesson I Learnt from Uncle Hov....

Well, this is the Good Life... som'n Everybody wants... i Recorded it on new year's eve of twenty-eleven... Produced by DA-bliss a day before.. Spawned from the festivities of the season in which it was birth, the song is a celebration and toast to the Beautiful things of life... funny thing is; i never thought this could ever be a single... jst wanted to "explore"... cos as long as i'm concerned, there's more to music than jst recycling.. which seems to be the trend these dayz..(i know i'm guity of it too, but not like them *in my Jigga's Voice* x_x ) lolz... Shout-out SPANiSH-T, responsible for the patua chants throughout the record .. My brotha from anotha motha, Slow, did some back-ups on the hook as well... shout-out Priddy (@PriddyBoihmself) for the support/contributions on this.. shout-out Nat (@NatMaticz).. shout-out dmh.. . Shout-out the hommie Fred-D (@Fre_D).. And shout-out my "Blowayzz" self... :D.. guess what?.. i added the trumpets on the instrumental.. Recorded and Mixed the Song myself.. and Steps-up Mastered... yeah "Steps-Up" that's the Hommie's name..
The song's been receiving great response since the recording.. And on release, it got triple.. appearing on all naija's top bloggs... from NJO to Gidi-lounge to 360nobs.com to phcitymusic.com to hiphopsouth and on and on and on...as well as radio airplay in the south..
